PM expressed dissatisfaction over the ‘reluctance’ of concerned authorities to address the complaints recorded by the Hello Nepal

Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai has instructed chiefs of different offices under various ministries and the secretaries to create a mechanism to immediately address the public complaints registered at the Hello Nepal desk.

PM Bhattarai called a meeting of the secretaries and general managers of 22 departments and ministries and chiefs of few other offices at his office in Singh Durbar and asked them to make the government services efficient.

The PM expressed dissatisfaction over the ‘reluctance’ of concerned authorities to address the complaints recorded by the Hello Nepal desk and directed the officials to work out immediate and long- term plan to address the problems, a source at the PMO said.

“If any law prevents you from providing people-oriented service, the law can be changed,” the source quoted the PM as saying.

Present in the meeting were the heads of various offices including Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Survey Department, Revenue Department, Drinking Water Corporation, National Vigilance Center, Drugs Administration Department, Health Department, Office of the Examination Controller, Higher Secondary Education Board, and Metropolitan Traffic Police and the secretaries of the concerned ministries.
