ANFA player killed in bus accident

KATHMANDU, AUG 07 – A player of All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) was among the dead in an accident that occurred at Bhumesthan of Dhading district along the Prithvi Highway on Tuesday.
ANFA player Ranjan Thapa, of Pokhara died in the accident, while other players – Sagar Pariyar, Milan Hitang and Samrat Buland – were injured. Pariyar, who is receiving treatment at the Annapurna Nuro Hospital, is in a critical condition. The players were returning to the Capital from Butwal after appearing for an examination.
Thapa’s body has been handed over to his family. ANFA President Ganesh Thapa along with other dignitaries from the association went to Dhading to offer their condolences to the bereaved family.

A dozen people were killed and 20 others injured as the ill-fated bus (Lu 1 Kha 7051) plunged into the Mahesh Khola at around 4 this morning.
It has been said that the driver must have either been drunk or fell asleep while driving.ekantipur
