Dahal said parties would forge consensus on the reinstatement of CA.

JANAKPURDHAM, SEP 01 – UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that the meeting of the major political parties would hammer out a deal within a day or two to end the protracted political crisis in the country.
Speaking to media persons in Janakpur Airport on Saturday, Dahal said that the three-party meeting was seriously discussing the alternatives—Constituent Assembly revival or election—to lift the country from the current deadlock.
“We will discuss on holding the CA election if no consensus could be forged on CA revival,” said Dahal. He expressed his confidence that talks among the parties would come up with a concrete conclusion within a day or two. “Political parties have a common voice regarding the formation of consensus government. But we need to forge consensus for that,”
Dahal said that the parties would discuss other issues once the disputed issues of the constitution were settled. “It is important to have common grounds in the disputed issues of constitution before discussion on options of CA elections or fresh people mandate,” said Dahal.
Dahal also claimed that the Baburam Bhattarai-led government would not be the hindrance to the formation of consensus government. “I urge the leaders to stress on the need of forging consensus rather than demanding the PM’s resignation,” Dahal said.
Dahal had reached Janakpur to attend the training programme of his party.ekantipur
