Fulbright regional conference kicks off

KATHMANDU,A conference of the Fulbright Alumni of the South and Central Asia Region kicked off in the Capital on Friday.

The three-day programme, inaugurated by Chief Justice Khilraj Regmi, brings to Kathmandu 29 Fulbright Alumni from 10 countries including Afganishtan, Bangladesh, India, Kazakhstan, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Named as the South and Central Asia Regional Fulbright Alumni Conference, the programme is organised by the Fulbright Commission in collaboration with the Fulbright Alumni Association, Nepal.

According to a statement issued by the organiser, the theme of the conference is ‘Adapting to change: Fulbrighters’ perspective’ on South and Central Asian Societies and papers will be presented within four sub-themes: social issues, environmental issues, good governance and political systems, and economic development.Ekantipur Report
