KATHMANDU, APR 27 – The urgent Cabinet meeting called on Friday has established Kathmandu Valley Development Authority. Former Mayor of Kathmandu Keshav Sthapit has been appointed as the commissioner for the same.
It was during the tenure of Sthapit that the Mandala at Maitighar and most of the road expansions started in the valley.
Talking to the media, Sthapit said that the government has given him a very important responsibility although he is from the opposition party. “You will see changes in the valley very soon. I am happy that the government has respected my caliber. We will definitely make Kathmandu a metro city,” said Sthapit.Ekantipur Report
