BAITADI: Nepal Communist Party Maoist Coordinator Matrika Yadav on Wednesday said if the party led by Mohan Baidhya came up with clear agendas, there could be the possibility of unification of the parties. Speaking at his party programme, Yadav accused the big political parties of endangering the nationality. He further said the country could get a safe exit from the present crisis through cooperation and understanding.
115 kg hashish seized
SIRAHA: Armed Police Force on Wednesday seized 115 kg hashish from Mutanikhola at Gobindpur VDC-9 in Siraha. Police acted on a tip-off to seize the hashish, said Inspector Krishna Hari Sharma of DPO, Siraha. They seized seven sacks while they were being taken to India.
Memorandum to PM
SYANGJA: Nepal Civil Society of Syangja on Wednesday sent a memorandum to Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai seeking to withdraw the decision to provide different facilities to former prime ministers and home ministers. Nepal Civil Society, Syangja chapter, president Om Prakash Sharma handed the memorandum over to the Chief District Officer Kailashnath Kharel. “The government should take its decision back as the country is facing transition,” said Sharma. –
SIRAHA: Amrit Thapa, a teacher of the Lahan-based Pashupati Adarsha Higher Secondary School died when the motorcycle he was riding met with an accident on the way to Bandipur from Siraha on Tuesday night. Deceased Thapa died while undergoing treatment in Karjanha-based Phool Kumari Memorial Hospital, informed Traffic Inspector Kul Bahadur Chaudhary.
ITAHARI: Police detained two persons along with contrabands and weapons from Sunsari’s Bhadgaun Sinuwabari on Tuesday night. A police team from Pakali Area Police Office arrested Raj Kumar Rai (23) and Shree Kumar Rajdhami (24) of Baklauri-9 from Raj Kumar’s rented room in Bhadgaun Sinuwabari-5.
