PM Bhattarai starts his campaign to visit village once a month

At a time when the opposition parties are demanding his resignation, Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai’s has started a campaign to visit villages and interact with the people to seek public views.

A few days after his announcement to visit one village and spend time there once a month, PM Bhattarai on Wednesday went to Jhor Mahankal VDC of Kathmandu district where he was welcomed by the local people.

Talking to the people, PM Bhattarai said that he was in the village to know public views.

PM Bhattarai also said that the efforts of the Maoist party alone were not enough to deliver new constitution to the nation as it did not have two-third majority in the CA.

“Compromising with other political parties was the only option for us as we had only 40 percent seats in the CA,” he added.

He also said that there was no any legal way to give new PM to the country until the next election is held. “However, I am ready to resign if consensus is forged among the parties,” he said. nepalnews.com
