Police in Kathmandu arrested 65 Tibetan exiles from Nagdhunga while they were coming to Kathmandu from the Indian capital New Delhi on Monday.
They Tibetans who came on a bus were held after they could not produce necessary documents, police said. They will be handed over to the immigration authority after preliminary investigation, they said.
Earlier on Jan 12, on the eve of Chinese premier Web Jiabao’s day trip to Kathmandu, over 100 Tibetans from India had been arrested from the same place.
The government had maintained tough security prior and during Wen’s visit in view of possible protests by the Tibetan exiles against the Chinese rule in Tibet. nepalnews.com
