Prez denies of constitutional vacuum

President Ram Baran Yadav has said that the country was not going through a period of constitutional vacuum despite the failure to draft the constitution. He added that he was coordinating with the political parties to end the present crisis.
“I am looking for a solution coordinating with the political parties staying within my constitutional boundaries,” said the president talking to a journalist committee on Saturday. “There is no constitutional vacuum after the dissolution of the Constituent Assembly. The only thing is there is no constitution,” he added.
Saying that the sentiment of the people movement and the constitution was consensus, President Yadav said that a complete budget should be brought in consensus among the political parties.
“The sentiment of the constitution is to run the country in consensus,” said the president about the next budget. “I have told the prime minister that no budget could be brought without consensus.”ekantipur
