Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai is set to leave for Patna,

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai is set to leave for Patna, the capital of Indian state of Bihar, in mid-February at the invitation of Bihar’s Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. In Patna, Prime Minister Bhattarai is scheduled to address the ‘Global Summit on Changing Bihar for Forging Partnership for Development’ slated for February 17-19. PM Bhattarai’s aide Biswodip Pandey said the prime minister would be the chief guest and keynote speaker at the summit, which has in the past been also graced by India’s former President APJ Abual Kalam in 2007. The summit is expected to serve as a platform to share economic experiences between Nepal and its neighbouring Indian states, including Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. Meanwhile, Bhattarai has also invited Nitish Kumar to visit Nepal at some convenient time. from HIMALAYAN NEWS SERVICE
