KATHMANDU: Madhesi Janadhikar Forum-Republican (MJF-R) has warned of agitation against government if Prime Minster Baburam Bhattarai did not relieve Minister for Information and Communications Raj Kishor Yadav from the Cabinet.
Yadav was ousted from the party earlier.
During their meeting with the UCPN-Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal at the latter’s residence in Lazimpat, the majority of Central Committee members of the MJF-R expressed their disappointment against the premier for not paying heed to their calls and concerns.
MJF-R leader Nandan Kumar Dutta who has been appointed the acting chairman of the party by replacing Yadav on June 26, had urged PM Bhattarai to terminate Yadav from the post of information minister.
It has been learn that, hearing their concerns, Dahal assured them that government will respect the decision taken by MJF-R.
For Nandan Kumar Dutta-led faction, as Yadav was appointed the minister on the recommendation of the party, he should be removed now as per the party decision.
Dutta-led faction has also claimed that it has already submitted a letter signed by party Chairman Jayaprakash Gupta– who is serving prison sentence on graft charge—to PM Bhattarai to free Yadav of his portfolio.THT
