KATHMANDU: Police said suspected bombs have been found at several places in the Capital Valley on Wednesday.
Pamphlets of the Nepal Communist Party People’s War Group have been recovered from the site of recovery of the suspected objects.
A polythene bag laden with explosive and pamphlet of the least heard of outfit was found at the Namgyal Bus Park in Gokarna at around 12.45 pm today. The Nepal Army’s bomb disposal squad was deployed to diffuse the material.
Likewise, suspected bombs have been found at the Lagankhel Bus Park and in a microbus that left Kathmandu for Dhading.
An unclaimed bag found at the toilet of Kathmandu Mall in downtown Kathmandu, however, was stuffed with papers only.
Police said they are on high alert after the information that bombs have been planted in some buses also.
Acting on a tip off, they said they are searching a bus in Tadi of Nuwakot also.THT ONLINE
