VISIT OF GENERAL BIKRAM SINGH, COAS, INDIAN ARMY TO NEPAL

General Bikram Singh, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, SM, VSM, ADC who took over the reins of the Chief of the Army Staff, Indian Army on 01 June 2012,  is visiting Nepal from 10 Jul to 14 Jul 2012. This is his first foreign visit after taking over as COAS. The General will be given the Guard of Honour by the Nepalese Army on 10 July 2012. During his visit to Nepal, the General will also be conferred with the Honorary rank of General of the Nepalese Army by the President of Nepal during the Investiture Ceremony at Sheetal Niwas on 11 July 2012.

During his stay, the General would be visiting Birendra Peacekeeping Operation Training Centre Panchkhal, High Altitude Mountain Warfare School (HAMWS) Jomsom, Nepalese Army Western Division Headquarters and Pension Paying Office Pokhara, where he will also address a rally of Indian Ex-servicemen. The General would also be visiting Nepalese Army Command and Staff College, Shivapuri, where he will address the student officers undergoing the course.
