KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) district presidents are all set to meet President Dr Ram Baran Yadav today in a bid to discuss various contentious issues afflicting the political spectrum of the country.
They had met their party president Sushil Koirala and senior leader of the NC Sher Bahadur Deuba on Thursday and advised them to implement the declarations approved by the national gathering of the district presidents.
NC district presidents are slated to reach the office of the President in Sheetal Niwas after 9 am this morning, sources confirmed.
They are in the capital after having wrapped up district presidents’ second national conclave three days back in Barhabise.
The national gathering issued a 14-point declaration paper demanding NC to take the leadership for the resolution of the present political crisis and suggested party leadership to go for a parliamentary poll to promulgate the constitution rather than Constituent Assembly reinstatement.
