KATHMANDU, MAY 19 – UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal said that the parties have no alternative but to promulgate the constitution for the sake of a prosperous Nepal. He claimed that completion of the peace process has opened a new door for agreement.
Saying that the political parties are vying to end the deadlocks arisen in the constitution drafting process, Dahal claimed that a new agreement would be forged by tomorrow.
Speaking at a program in Bharatpur, Maoist Chairman Dahal said that the chain of strikes is the people voice for their identity. He requested the people not to take them otherwise.
Dahal further claimed that these strikes and demand for identity in the new constitution should not hinder the integrity of the entire nation. “We should be aware that our social integrity should not be mired because of these movements. The nation would be in trouble if we do not work with patience and courage at this point of time,” said Dahal.Ekantipur Report
