NC, UML, Broader Madhesi Front reject govt’s election decision

Nepali Congress, CPN (UML), Broader Madhesi Front and some fringe parties have rejected the government decision to hold fresh election of the Constituent Assembly on 22 November 2012.

Following the government decision, the leaders of these parties met President Ram Baran Yadav at Shital Niwas to inform him about their position. They also urged the President not to approve the “unconstitutional decision” of the government.

NC leader Ram Chandra Poudel said the NC would strongly oppose the Maoist-led government’s move. “This is part of a Maoist plan to capture power,” said he.
