Maoist commander caught selling arms
SUNSARI, MAR 20 – Four people, including a Maoist Platoon Commander, were caught red-handed while selling arms at Sunsari on Tuesday.
They were caught selling weapons at Belgachhi of Sunsari district, said Police. Acting on a tip-off, a special force deployed to investigate into the matter caught them red-handed, said Superintendent of Police (SP) Saurav Rana. Arjun Kumar Subba and Narayan Prasad Pakhrin of Morang were caught along with Bijaya Kumar Mandal and Rajkumar of Bihar.
Subba is a platoon commander of the Chhintang –Sukhani memorial brigade of Morang. He had opted for integration in the peace process.
A pistol, two bullets, two Bajaj Pulsar motorcycles, a mask and Rs 21,000 in cash were confiscated from the arrestees.ABADESH JHA ekantipur
