KATHMANDU, April 4: Five days after Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal accused the party hardliners of showing “petty bourgeois impatience and anarchy”, the latter on Tuesday shot back at Dahal accusing him of ´opportunism´, ´rightist revisionist liquidationism´, ´national and class capitulationism´, ´anarchism´ and ´individualism´ and adopting the organizational line of ´bureaucratic centralism´.

As the relation between the Maoist hardliners and moderates strains, the rival factions are exchanging scores of communist jargons accusing each other of sell-out and ideological deviations.

At a separate central committee (CC) meeting of the party establishment, Dahal had stated that the hard-line faction smacks of “leftist capitulationism” expressed in the form of talks in revolutionary jargons.

In a press statement signed by Senior Vice-chairman Mohan Baidya and General Secretary Ram Bahadur Thapa, the senior-most leaders of the hard-line faction, stated that they would keep the party unity intact, but continue their struggle against the alliance between the “rightist revisionists” and the “imperialists”

“…Dahal and Bhattarai faction´s CC meetings´ conclusions show that they are ´opportunists´ in theoretical sense, rightist revisionist liquidationist in politics, ´class and national capitulationist and bureaucratic centralists, and anarchic individualist´ in the organization,” states the press statement.

The Maoist leaders also expressed objection to the accusation that they are against peace and constitution, and argued that they are only against surrendering to the “reactionary forces”.

“They [Dahal and Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai] fell prey to the conspiracy and failed to push for a people´s constitution and dignified army integration. On the other hand they have been portraying their own comrades as anti-peace and constitution elements just for alerting them against the conspiracy,” states the statement.

The Baidya faction has already “exposed 18 deviations of the party chairman” after failing to implement the party´s official line and ´surrendering to the parliamentary parties´.

The hardliners have accused Dahal of abandoning the party´s agendas in the name of ´give and take´ for peace and constitution.´

They say Dahal compromised on all the fundamental principles of the party when he headed the dispute resolution subcommittee in the CA.

Baidya and Thapa have also accused Dahal of joining forces with “class enemies” against the “revolutionary force”.

“Dahal´s proposal is a further slide from the last CC decisions theoretically, politically and organizationally. His proposal doesn´t take up crucial issues like ´people´s federal republic´, ´national sovereignty´, feudalism, imperialism and the tactical line for a new democratic revolution,” says the statement.
