Missing Pakistani-origin Bollywood starlet Laila Khan is dead, said Jammu and Kashmirpolice. According to media reports, Laila along

with four of her family members were shot dead in Mumbai in early 2011. The actor’s family friend Parvez Iqbal Tak, who allegedly had links with LeT
militants, spilled the beans on Laila’s murder to Mumbai Police. Tak is currently in the custody of Jammu and Kashmir police.
Earlier reports in June had suggested that she was living in Dubai on a fake passport.

The Pakistani actor who made her debut in Bollywood film opposite Rajesh Khanna in Wafaa, went missing around a year ago along with her family. Laila’s father lodged a complaint with Mumbai Police accusing Tak of kidnapping Laila, her mother, siblings and a relative.
According to the complaint, Laila, her mother Shelina Patel (50), elder sister Hazmina, siblings Zara and Imran, and a relative, were allegedly kidnapped by Tak and another accused in February 2011 from her Oshiwara flat in Mumbai.
It is suspected, Laila Khan had links with terror outfit Lakhkar-e-Taiba. She had recced Mumbai and provided maps and photographs to LeT.
The actress’s car Mitsubishi Outlander was allegedly used to ferry explosives for a bomb blast at the Delhi high court in September 2011.
The Outlander, with number MH02 AY 7867 was registered under Laila’s name.
Crime branch of Mumbai police has left for Kishtwar to seek Tak’s custody from J&K police.
Laila owned a farm house at Igatpuri in Maharashtra and the police is probing whether it was used for any terror activity.
