Manipal strike enters day two
KASKI, JUL 30 –
Medical services, excepting the emergency, at the Pokhara-based Manipal Teaching Hospital remained disrupted for the second straight day on Monday due to the ongoing strike enforced by the doctors.
The agitating doctors went on strike from Sunday demanding that the hospital administration address their demands of better salary and perks.
Dr Dipak Prasad Koirala of the All Nepal Progressive Public Health Workers’ Association said they would continue the protests unless their demands are met. Hundreds of patients have been affected due to the strike.
