PM’s visit to India scheduled for the next month.
KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Dr.Baburam Bhattarai’s political advisor Devendra Paudel has revealed an indispensable aspect of PM’s visit to Nepal’s neighboring country, India, scheduled for the next month.
Speaking at an interaction programme at Reporter’s Club on Saturday, Paudel said, the main agenda of prime minister’s India visit would be in making attempts to scrap or rectify all discriminatory treaties made with India since the Sugauli Treaty.
“PM‘s visit would focus on scraping the treaty of 1950 and 1965 reached between the two countries. However, India would be made clear that Nepal aspires to stand as a bridge between its two immediate neighbors—China and India,” stated PM’s political advisor.
Paudel also informed that Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai would be diplomatically resolving all the existing intellectual differences existing between India and the Maoists of Nepal.
For the peace process not getting momentum, Paudel blamed the NC and the UML lacking an interest to assist the incumbent Maoist-led government. The himalayan
