KATHMANDU: Talks between troubleshooters- the top
leaders of the major political parties and alleged
troublemakers– those agitating for ethnic federal set-up
in new statute and enforcing nationwide strike, have
started in Special Committee’s secretariat office, inside
the Constituent Assembly (CA) on Monday.
Bandh enforcers aligned to Nepal Federation of Indigenous Nationalities (NEFIN)
have already said that talks will make headway only if their preconditions are
addressed, which include:
a. Medical expenses to those who have been injured during bandh in clash with
police.
b. Release those who have been detained in course of demonstration.
