NEFIN listens to govt; calls off bandh
KATHMANDU: The agitating Indigenous Nationalities ‘ Joint Struggle Committee on Tuesday decided to withdraw all of its protest programmes including nationwide strike.
Inking a nine-point agreement with government NEFIN took the decision to this effect.
NEFIN, which has been pressing for ethnic states by imposing bandh had earlier decided to continue the bandh if the talks with government could not make a headway.
Today is the third day of the NEFIN’s bandh mark by vandalism, violence and attack on press.
Government positively addressed the concerns, so we have decided to withdraw all the programmes of bandh, said one of the talks team member of NEFIN.THT online
