Nepali girl killed in Tamil Nadu university
KATHMANDU, April 5: A Nepali student has been killed at the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) after her shawl got stuck in a plant sample grinder machine at the research laboratory.
Srijana Gaire, 25, daughter of Chandrakanta Gaire from Kathmandu, a second-year MSc Soil Science and Agricultural student, was killed after her shawl got entangled in the machine, strangulating her, the New Indian Express reported.
According to the report, she had gone to the laboratory Tuesday evening but she was, later, found lying on the floor. It added that she was then rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors pronounced her ‘brought dead’.
Her body has been kept in the mortuary at Coimbatore Medical College Hospital. The autopsy will be performed on Thursday. REPUBLICA
