KATHMANDU: In a shock turnaround, newly formed CPN-Maoist Chairman Mohan Baidhya said his party is not in favour of federalism, reasoning that the federalism might push the country into disintegration.
Chairman Baidhya has given this statement upon his return from a 10-day visit to neighbouring China.
“I met with the high ranking government officials and the top leaders of the Communist Party of China and during the meeting they expressed concern over the party split and advised us not to go for federalism as it would push the country into disintegration,” said Chairman Baidhya upon his arrival on Wednesday.
