Supreme Court Justice Rana Bahadur Bam shot at UN Park
KATHMANDU: An unidentified group of men shot the Supreme Court Justice Rana Bahadur Bam on the road adjacent to UN Park in Thapathali on Thursday morning, Hemanta Rawal, Assistant Spokesperson, Supreme Court confirmed.
Bam received four bullets on his armpit at 11:08 am after the two miscreants had openly fired eight rounds of bullets on the car he was traveling on to his office.
Bam was returning from Bagalamukhi temple along with his guard Mahesh Giri, who also sustained injuries on his neck and chest in the incident.
Bam’s driver is unscathed however.

The gunslingers had arrived on a black Pulsar bike, Kathmandu Police Chief SP Rajendra Shrestha.
Pamphlets with the letter Amar Nepal Jindabaad are scattered at the scene of attack, police further said. The pamphlets belong to Nepalbaad Party. If we are to believe words written in the pamphlets, the Party is oriented to mop up all the corrupt judges.
Earlier, the Judicial Council had recommended that the Parliament initiate impeachment proceedings against Justice Bam.
